The Nifty Pixel - Open Me

Hello Everyone,

Loving this time of year. So very busy, but so much fun and excitement. The children are nearing the end of their school year and have many fun things happening at school such as the Christmas concert, surf carnival, end of year excursions and various Christmas crafts.

This week, the very talented Em Stafrace from The Nifty Pixel has created a gorgeous collection of products, Open Me:

Available here:

The collection is bundled together for sale, or you can purchase each kit separately.

My layout, which uses something from each kit:
Make A Wish
The Nifty Pixel | Open Me Collection
The Nifty Pixel | Page Drafts: Christmas Cheer V2

There is so much in this collection. I love that Em has so many quirky bits and bobs in all her kits, and this one is no exception. For this weekend only, it's 33% off each individual kit, or 50% off the entire collection. For more information about the collection and to see other layouts created with it, head on over to The Nifty Pixel blog where there is also a freebie you can pick up. 😊

Thank you for visiting today.

CSI - Case File 217

Hello Everyone,

This month's major challenge over at CSI is very autumnal and has a great sketch/template from the clever Em Stafrace of The Nifty Pixel:

This challenge is also the first at CSI's new home - on a blogger format instead of a Ning site, so much easier to access and no excuse not to play along. :)

My digital layout for this challenge:
Love These Memories
Oops, forgot to write it all down - but mainly from Katie Pertiet at Designer Digitals.

The photos were taken in March 2011, autumn in the southern hemisphere.

How I solved the case:
The scheme: I used all the colours.
Evidence: woodgrain/wood, antlers, triangles, jar, animals & leaves.
Testimony: Inspiration word, 'outdoor'.
Journaling reads: Spending time outdoors.  Climbing and hiding.  You love this old tree at the park with its old skewed branches spreading themselves out in all directions and its thick trunk low and wide to climb on.

The challenge is open until the end of the month, so plenty of time to join in. Please go to their new site to check out all the details: CSI Challenge #217.

Thanks for coming by. :)

Scrapaneers - November Challenge

Hello Everyone,

Scrapaneers monthly challenge is up and running for the month of November. This month the challenge is to use black and white and to include 3 different patterned papers along with a splash of colour.

This is my take:
Hocus Pocus
Allison Pennington | Witchy Poo
(some elements re-coloured)

and because I'm in a black, white and yellow mood, I created another layout:
Good Times
Captivated Visions | Creme Caramel

For more information about Scrapaneers, head on over to their site HERE.

Thanks for popping in today. :)
